Burgundy Brimmed Fedora Hat

My “must-have” item this season is the well renowned and well-loved fedora hat. Not just any fedora hat, but one that is rich in burgundy color.

Strong style

“By choosing such an item you are giving off a completely different look, you are breaking the mold and making this ensemble work for you, and I absolutely love it!”

Generally speaking, the fedora hat has recently become a hot item to flaunt throughout summer and spring, however there seems to be an exception to the rule when you select this sunny statement piece in a deeper color, possibly in a different fabric, such as velvet.

I came across the sassiest vision while skimming pages in the most recent edition of Vogue. A woman crossing the street in dazzling New York City featuring skinny jeans, back thigh-high boots, a black trench coat to match and lastly, that bold and burgundy fedora hat.

Boss ladies wear burgundy

Colors are powerful, and always have deeper meaning that what meets the eye. Again, as I mentioned with this look, I was immediately drawn into the rich burgundy color that makes such a strong, bold, and sexy statement. This unique color represents more than you may think. The burgundy color is commonly referred to as “Bordeaux” referencing wine regions which produce a deep red wine color. The color burgundy became an international sensation, a color that was often used in men and women’s garments in the 1800’s. Burgundy is often associated with higher class society and is interpreted as signifying sophistication, and the hue of red indicates power. Individuals wanting to display their power or wealthy class may use burgundy as a way to feature these specific traits.

Influencers who have stunned all with this hat

For many, it could be that fedoras are associated with so-called “nice” guys. There’s Justin Timberlake, whose boy-band roots are shiny and glossy and free of controversy. Justin Timberlake’s suite and tie albums featured him sporting a fedora along with several of his music videos. Johnny Depp: We were well aware that Johnny Depp loves hats, fedora hats to be specific. In fact, he’s even been honored for his devotion to his toppers, however we underestimated how much he adores hats. Johnny apparently has 2 full rooms devoted to his favorite accessory. The great fedora renaissance made a huge come back in the early 2000’s to present time, and mastered by the one and only Johnny Depp.

Victoria Beckham: Glam gal who is no stranger to the fedora hat, is Ms. Victoria Beckham. She often wears gray, black and cream colored fedoras while strolling down the streets of London. On numerous occasion the former Spice Girl completed her chic look with suede ankle boots and tight jeans. At times, she pairs her fedoras with long black trench coats. Now who would question Victoria’s style? I hear crickets… go for it!

Jessica Alba: Jessica Alba’s beloved “Walking Fedora” from Tory Burch in stock this fall. Fedora’s are classic and will never go out of style. It’s not just their skin-saving benefits: wide-brimmed hats deliver the kind of continental cool you might miss once winter takes over. Jessica Alba wears this look often and effortlessly, she was recently seen pairing her fedora with a swept-in bob tucked behind her ears with dark shades and a navy blue animal prints dresses (animal print is also all the rage this fall). Alba knows her trends and rocks them endlessly. How to tie this item into your daily look

What is so fantastic about this hat, is that you can make your own look by using it with a vast selection of options.

Here are some of my favorite looks:

(1) Dress it up with heels: pair a straw fedora with short shorts and high heels for a fun contrast between masculine chic and feminine beauty.

(2) Be a boss babe: do the same by pairing your hat with a fierce blazer or button down shirt. Add stilettos to this ensemble for the win!

(3) Elegance and class: straw hats may be casual, but pairing it with elegant pieces like a ruffled blouse or ruffled skirt gives it another dimension

(4) Keep it casual: a simple tank and jeans are as perfect to pair with your fall themed, dark fedora hat

(5) Stay edgy: as seen in my photo, I adore this burgundy fedora hat with high waisted black slacks, booties and a crop top. Perfect for fall!

All this has made me a better version of myself with so much more to share, and thats what this space is for.
