With so much uncertainty and rapid change with the intense impact of the global battle against Covid-19, I’d love to use my small and slowly growing social platforms to spread as much positivity as possible, and hopefully pass around some helpful hints when it comes to your love for beauty, fashion and promoting mental health and meditation. I feel it is critical to stay motivated and to be productive while working from home (WFH).

Continue to read on for motivational tips during quarantine and how to be your best self?

“Brighten your day and bump up your morale with your most-loved tunes and of course by playing dress-up.”

Watch your favorite singer or band on YouTube; a recording of one of their live concerts, but make it even greater by dressing up in black-tie attire for the special at-home occasion to toast to. Plan a romantic dinner date with your love, cook and prepare your favorite fine-dining type of dish and showcase your sexy little black dress (LBD) with those wicked stilettos to match. Besides stressing the importance of social distancing and staying at home, I encourage you to spice up your day to day routine and “work-from-home” routine to keep your mind fresh and stay feeling confident and energized.

Rise and grind with a grueling workout! Jump start your morning with some strong weight work and killer cardio. This will increase your alertness and your overall energy, which will set the tone for the performance of your day.

Breaking up your day from work is extremely important. I recommend taking 10 to 15 minutes mid-way through your schedule to meditate and clear your mind. Perhaps take a nice walk in your neighborhood to feel the crisp air, soak in your surroundings and start part two of your workload fresh. This is just as important as making sure you create time for starting a full skin care routine if you haven’t already - please see mine below.

Challenges that motivate you with friends

Initiate a fun challenge with your close friends on which recipes throughout the week you can create. Try preparing this skinny jean friendly recipe virtually together, then share and tag your photos on Instagram and TikTok. I just started doing this, and it has been an absolute blast! I have been connecting with friends and family throughout the nation and globe, and we’ve been able to connect and bond with these simple and fun social media challenges.

At the end of the day, we are in this together, we might as well share these beneficial skills with our favorite people. Taking it back to your daily work-flow while “working from home” - if you’re often on conference calls, maybe switch it up to Zoom video calls. My loose ice cream and candy patterned sweatpants with my oversized Seattle Seahawks t-shirt was definitely not helping my go-getter attitude get to the next level. How many days had I been wearing this look, I wondered? (If you could call it that—a “look.”) Seconds blurred into minutes, then minutes blurred into hours, which then turned into days. That is when I decided I needed to switch up my WFH wardrobe game…

Self-care first

Take the time each morning to do your skincare routine, take a yummy shower with your favorite quality shower gels, style your hair (try new styles) and put on your natural shades of makeup.

Why not even slip into your casual business attire, or your sleek black blazer and tight pencil skirt? When you look your best, you often feel your best. I started implementing these rules myself towards the end of last week, and felt like a completely new woman! I was working even harder and could’t wait to connect with my marketing, with this revived attitude I looked forward to thriving at work.

This is the perfect moment to test those skills you often don’t have the time to do. Twice a week there are three activities I make sure I practice: Learning Spanish, Salsa dancing and Vocal lessons. Now is also the ideal time to put self-care at the top of your to-do list. Let’s all survive and thrive, live our best lives, and get through this together.

Sending you lots of love!

XO

Jasmine

Stay a while, don't be a stranger

Welcome to my world...

The past couple of years have been full of adventures, from becoming a lover of soy candle making, to scuba diving in the Red Sea, to exploring new exotic international lands, to getting married to my best friend and owning my sweetheart Shih-poo puppy.

All this has made me a better version of myself with so much more to share, and thats what this space is for.

Let the posts
come to you.
